We experienced our first cool snap of the fall. It was in the low 40’s overnight on Saturday and Sunday. I played Towhee Club in Springhill TN on Saturday. Still struggling on the course,
Highlights of the round
247 Yard Drive on the 4th hole resulting in a par.
Hit two good 3 woods on consecutive holes. #10 was par three into the wind playing 190, on the green in regulation for a par. Hole #1, I was over 200 from the fairway and put it on the green for a birdie putt.
13th hole, short par 3 made a par.
Total of 4 pars…
Bad seemed to outweigh the good.
Complete wiff on hole #2, short par 3, then air mailed the green. Hole #3, put myself in good position on two about 120 yards out on a par 5, could not hit the green.
Hole #8, lost ball after hitting left into the trees
Hole #12, which always give me trouble, hit about a 20 yars drive, followed by a lost ball.
Hole #14, bad second shot, lost ball in the pond
Hole #16, two decent shots, leaving 150 out on a par 5, end up with a double.
Hole #17, two decent shots, leaving under 150 out, and come up short, then air mail a chip for a double
Sunday at Old Fort, walked 18.
Good, three decent shots on the first hole, and a par. Almost had a hole in one on #3, came up 1/2 a revolution short, and it was dead at the stick.
Made a par on the 12th, which has routinely giving my problems.
Bad for the round
A total of 2 pars, and 1 birdie. 8 double bogeys and a triple bogey. Just could not string together consecutive shot together.
