Why It Exists
This is my mental filing cabinet. The goal here is simple: once a round is completed, it is stripped of its emotional weight and documented. It is ‘burned’ from my active memory and filed away. By offloading these details here, I clear the noise from my mind so I can reset for the next grind. This bin serves as an honest, raw record for my own review and for anyone interested in the unfiltered reality of this journey.

Daily Takeaway: Second group out this Sunday, not sure how that happened, but not a fan. Drove the ball well today, but approach iron are still what is lacking. Made the turn at +2 with some solid play, but irons went cold again. Had 3 really bad shanks again. Hit a house on #5, but hard enough that it came back into play, but ended up with a double. Had a shank on #14 from the fairway, 145 out. Had a shank on #16 form 100 yards out. Had an 80 yard shot on #17, and swung the gap but only hit is 60.

Daily Takeaway: A little rocky start this morning. Went bogey, double to start. On #3, I hit a decent drive, and a good 5 wood, that I pulled right, but had a fantastic chip over the sand and saved the birdie. Hole #5 that has been giving me fits, resulted in my second birdie of the day, when I hit to within 9′ and made the birdie. #7, continues to give me fits and put the ball in the water, but one hand chipped to 5′ and made the bogey. #9, continue to give me fits, I put myself 90 from the green, and finally hit a good gap wedge, but flew the green. Reeled off 4 straight parts after the turn and then a bit of stumble with back to back bogeys, and finished strong with 3 pars.

Daily Takeaway: Last day in Wisconsin. went off first about 7:15, expect high temp of 95, walked 18 with electric cart. I was excited to play and hoped to play quick to avoid the heat. It is not a flat course. They sent me off the back and it took a while to get going. I did drive the ball decent, I had no three putts, and I scrambled and chipped it close. A couple of highlights during the round, #18 I hit a 241 yard drive, followed by a 186 yard 7 iron, to the back of the green, two fantastic shots in a row. And on # 4, which was playing 188 yard par 3, I hit my 4 hybrid to 2′ pin high.

Daily Takeaway: Trip to Wisconsin and played a local course in Manitowoc. I played solo with very little course knowledge. I had to play the back side first, since there was a golf league play scheduled. The course was in a good shape and I traveled with my electric cart. Walked 6 miles and the course was hilly. The green were huge and were soft. Played decent, with a stumble at the end. Made some decent length putts and had a lot good short chips.

Daily Takeway: I arrived early today, but fogot that the range is typically closed on Tuesday morning for maintenance. I did not chip but I spent about 15 minutes putting. Putted the ball well today, no 3 putts, and had (8) 1 putts. I did have two double bogeys after putting it in the water on #7 and #11. Played better on the back nine one again.

Daily Takeway: I did not play in the morning, because of expected rain. I teed off at 12:33 and played in about 4 hours, which was too slow for me. The putter was hot today, even though I missed a few, only took 29 putts, no three putts, and 7 (1) putts. Which is amazing since I only hit 4 greens in regulation. I did card two doubles which hurt and even though I bombed some drives, there was some really bad ones as well. I hit at least three horrible shanks, finished strong.

Daily Takeway: 2nd day with original PING putter again. Did not putt well (2) 3 putts today. Felt like a drove the ball well today, and hit some really good irons, but just could not score on the front side. I made the turn at +5, and clawed back to a 38 on the back. I had 8 bogeys today, which was a lot, but I limited the damages to only single bogeys.

Daily Takeway: Played really well today, made the turn at minus 1, but should have easily been -2. Made a putt from 19′ on #8. Made a sloppy double on #11 after missing the green right and taking two chips to get on the green. I followed that with another sloppy double on #16. I had moved back to my ping putter, after not making a lot of puts lately. I have not seen dividends from that move yet. I still had a total of (3) 3 putts and could have easily turned my 76 into another 73.

Daily Takeway: Brutal heat this morning. Good driving distance on #1, but then flew the green by a long way and ended up with a double. I was on in 2 on #3, but three putted. Played well after that, scrambling repeatedly, giving up a stroke on #5 after hitting into the bunker. I righted the ship and reeled off 4 more pars before the turn. Things went sideways on #10-#12 with doubles on each hole. I righted the ship once again and reeled off 6 straight pars to finish. Putting, specifically short putts have continued to haunt me, but now with a mix of short and long misses. All around played decent enough to score in the 70’s, but not good enought to execute.

Daily Takeway: Range was closed again this morning during the morning tee time. Not sure if that was good or bad for the day. Super hot this morning, but played quick. I was not comfortable with iron play but played decent except for a couple of holes that got away from me. A triple on #8 was unacceptable. Again played better on the back side, which I always thought was the tougher of the two sides of the course.
